Happy New Year! Resolutions Your Staff Can Easily Fulfill
It’s officially 2010, and time for all of us to make our New Year’s resolutions for the year. Encourage your staff to put protecting themselves and their patients from seasonal flu at the top of their list. Think of creative ways to get your staff involved and vaccinated. Many of us come back from the holidays refreshed and ready to face new challenges, especially as they relate to self-improvement. January is the perfect time to take advantage of the self-improvement angle to encourage your staff to get vaccinated.
One creative idea you could use would be to make a flyer with a check list on it titled, “My New Year’s Resolutions.” List hand washing regularly, staying home when I’m sick and getting the flu shot on the list. What other ideas can you think of? Are there any themed events you can come up with that would encourage vaccination? Please share your ideas with your fellow Challengers below.
Joint Commission Resources received funding and other support from GlaxoSmithKline for the Flu Vaccination Challenge initiative.
